  7. XAda is an Ada Programming Support Environment for X-Windows and POSIX. XAda
  8. integrates a Motif-based, Ada language-sensitive editor with special Ada
  9. features and tools, a validated Ada compiler, and an X-Windows library for
  10. POSIX into an easy-to-use "seamless" system for software development in Ada.
  11. XAda was designed by Ada software engineers specifically for Ada software
  12. development. It includes all modern editing functions as well as many
  13. proprietary Ada features and tools. The Motif-based system generates Ada data
  14. structures and program units with simple point-and-click selections. Ada
  15. language-sensitivity provides realtime warnings of syntax errors, automatic
  16. syntax completion, block commenting, reformatting to DoD standards, automatic
  17. logical indentation, and cross-reference to assignment, declaration, and usage
  18. of Ada identifiers. The integrated compiler is validated to the latest
  19. government standards for the development of DoD applications, and the
  20. Ada/X-Windows library is now the standard DoD X-Windows application.
